Technology Advisory RetainerA senior voice after the decision.
The decision is made. Now the vendors, the integrator and your team have to deliver it. The retainer keeps an independent, senior advisor close enough to keep proposals honest, catch drift early, and keep the plan moving.
Book a 30 minute decision review Start with a Decision SprintWhat the retainer covers
- A monthly leadership session on progress, risks and the next decisions coming up.
- Review of proposals and change orders between sessions, before you sign them.
- Vendor and implementation partner oversight, so the plan you agreed is the plan they deliver.
- A quarterly owner or board update on technology spend, risk and return.
Who it is for
Decision Sprint clients who are acting on the recommendation and want a senior voice on their side of the table while it happens. It is offered after a sprint, with a three month minimum, because that is when it is most useful.
Hours capped in writing
Every retainer has a fixed monthly fee and a fixed number of hours, written into the agreement. No hourly billing, no creeping scope, and no surprises on the invoice.
Independent by design
We advise; we do not build. When the decision calls for hands to build, we will work with your team or your chosen vendor, or introduce a vetted implementation partner if you ask. Any partner relationship is disclosed in writing before you decide, and we never resell or mark up implementation work.
Common questions
Is this a fractional CTO?
Close, but narrower and lighter. A fractional CTO usually takes an ongoing executive seat. The retainer keeps a senior advisor close to the decisions that matter after a sprint, without adding another executive to your payroll or your org chart.
Why only after a Decision Sprint?
Because good ongoing advice depends on knowing your business, your vendors and your plan. The sprint builds that understanding. Starting a retainer without it would mean paying for the same discovery twice.
How much time does it include?
A set number of hours each month, agreed in writing up front and capped, so you always know what you are getting. Most of the work happens between meetings: reading proposals, reviewing plans and answering questions.
Can we stop?
Yes. After the three month minimum, the retainer continues month to month and either side can end it with notice.
